Kingston take the train to local event

While Mo Farah and Usain Bolt may have been putting their feet up as the World Athletics Championships drew to a close in nearby Stratford, Kingston Royals popped on a train (and Overground, Tube, bus, Uber) to visit Surrey Quays for the last league race of the season. Blessed with sunshine all day, no stream, very little wind and a set of matched pool boats, the crews took to the water to give it their all and gain those final vital points for the league table.
Congratulations to everyone, especially those paddlers who were new to league racing.

Racing in S12 Ladies, S12 Open and Mixed categories meant a full day of action, culminating in a very exciting distance race!
