May 2017 - Great day at Wraysbury

Kingston stay local to bring home trophies

For the 3rd race of the season Kingston headed to Wraysbury, an idyllic stretch of the Thames not far from our home.
The racing kicked off with the 200m men’s and ladies super twelves, which consists of 2 timed runs and a final. Both teams did fantastically, with the ladies achieving second and the men coming third, despite this being our first ever race in this class.

We then moved onto the mixed 200m race, where Kingston managed a very respectable 11th.. Rain didn't stop play for the gruelling 5km race, where we came 4th in our class. We then finished off the day with a curry and a social back at the clubhouse.

Overall, a massive well done to everyone on the team, especially those making their racing debut!
 Next stop: Crosby!
